He started out as our Team Manager on a “trial basis”. We learned a few things about Robbie very quickly…..he loved the Hawks, dude could EAT and he really liked John Cena! He quickly became a part of the team and a fan favorite. Early on his Dad would have to bring him food before games and Robbie would eat during the game, he’d take a 5 minute break from screaming for the Hawks to scarf down whatever his Dad brought. Indian food was the most memorable, tough to eat in a dugout. By his junior year he had a debit card!

This made for a very enjoyable experience of waiting to see what Robbie would come back with from the gas station when we stopped before games…Mountain Dew ✔  Sugary Candy ✔  Energy Drink ✔  Gas station sunglasses ✔ … Robbie loved some gas station sunglasses. If you ever wondered where he got the energy to scream and yell, now you know. The players loved Robbie, the coaches loved Robbie. I think even opposing teams grew to like Robbie.

Now the hard part, Robbie passed away on 11/30/2021 due to injuries related to a tragic car accident. It was a shock to us all and a reminder that our time here is short and not guaranteed. Robbie left his footprint on the Hawks Baseball Program. We are all better because he was a part of it.

We love you Robbie, we’ll miss you! Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey. Once a Hawk, always a Hawk.  Please keep his family in your thoughts, we know this has been very hard for them. #12
